Los Angeles Sourcing, Friends & FAM

I was lucky enough to make my way down to Los Angeles for the week-Catching up with my good friends and fam and accomplishing some work while I was there. I was able to meet up with a couple of my design clients as well as a handful of producing sourcing and wholesale talks.

I was on a mission to determine the 2013 merch for FAM Digital-Torn between hats, t-shirts, hoodies, jackets I decided to go down a route I’d been eyeing for a while, necklaces. I collect necklaces from my travels and had always seen their ability to stand out and knew I wanted custom necklaces for the entire fam..The results are soon to come but check out some of the photos I shot below.

Skydiving Dubai

Coming into 2013

Unfortunately I’ve neglected my own personal website in 2012, and, well, every other year since I stopped pursuing my art seriously.

It can be frustrating considering I put in so much effort, creativity, and intuition into my clients, friends, and personal projects and businesses.

I truly look forward to using 2013 as the first year to utilize my following online and knowledge of marketing to share my experiences, travels, tips and all around useful stuff.

Whats funny is I planned over 25+ post concepts, with keywords and outlines etc. But never have gotten around to, well, finishing any of the posts.

Heres to 2013, and an updated personal website to reflect the changes, experiences and lessons I encounter.

Being Collective Progress

I’ve been lucky enough to meet some amazing people over the past few months, I had been toying with the idea of creating a group of people who all share the same visions of the future and shared understanding that for us to truly operate as a human race, we must come together collectively.

I want to get people together who are not only diverse in skills, but backgrounds and cultures. To create a space where people come together, to be collective, to help, to engage, to support. I’m going to cover Being Collective in greater detail as things become more and more finalized…stay tuned.

Pursuit Alpha Testing

Our team has been hard at work trying to finalize the experience for our very first set of beta users. It’s been a great experience working with our users and possible customers directly. We have been able to retain great information around the problems we can solve, and begun putting solutions into work.

Startup Abroad Bali

I was lucky enough to attend Startup Abroad Bali-A program organized by Chelsea Rustrum to destination co-work. Whats this mean? We basically all flew to Bali, Indonesia from around the world to work together for 2 weeks. All (10) of us were founders of tech companies or startups and shared a common passion of travelling and experiencing new things.

The experience was overall phenomenal and was able to get to know 9 other amazing people and share a truly memorable experience. Not only did I receive great support with my startup and business endeavors, but was able to experience rice  fields, volcano sunrise hikes, Bali Beaches, bike rides in the country and so many more experiences.

Lack of updates

August 22, 2012 – 4:12 am

As I’ve been running my businesses it can be difficult to allocate time to my own personal brand, let alone my art. Come September I will be located in San Francisco and be on track finalizing fundraising for Pursuit.me and launching Being Collective.

I’m also renting an art studio which will provide me solid self reflection and expression time in the midst of the chaos.

The Bodhicaryavatara

I was in the midsts of the reading a book lent to me by a friend Alexandros Pagidas and was compiled to share the findings which have reached me in ways other Buddhist teachings have not in the past. The passage below is the best depiction I’ve read regarding the state of Bodhisattva.

“Today my birth is fruitful. My human life is justified. Today I am born into the family of the Buddha. Now I am the Buddha’s son.

So that there may be no blemish upon this spotless family, I must now act as becomes my family.

As a blind man might find a jewel in heaps of rubbish, so too this Awakening Mind has somehow appeared in me.

Startupbus & Rackspace Stop

I managed to find my self on Startupbus 2012 without much understanding for what I was getting my self into. I wanted to write about the experience and document some of the trip with photographs.

The below photos are mostly from the Rackspace event and last couple of days we spent up to the Semi-Finals and Finals where my team, Cerealize, ended up winning.
